Where is the best beach to go to Texas in early August?
My boyfriend and I are planning to spend our year weekend 2nd anniversary on a beautiful beach trip. We just moved to Houston and now we are in a weight in South Padre, Corpus Christi or Port Aransas. We need more information to make our decisions on actual experiences, please, and not only we can find material on the Internet. We are in the mid-20s, we like to party but not young university, and certainly not for this weekend. I'm expecting to see a decent beach and water, at least (and Bryan disappointed Galveston Beach). If you can provide information impartial advice on the beach / water quality, driving there, dining, accommodation, things to do and see, the relevant rules or regulations, such people, etc. that would be great. Some specific questions: Is it worth driving the extra mile to South Padre or just as good as the other two? Is it better to rent a house on the beach to stay in a hotel or are there better alternatives? Audience: college students / tourists / families / partners / others?
