I'm thinking of staying at the Travelodge in downtown Chicago, how do I get there from Union Station?
We will take the Megabus from Detroit and I just wanted to know the best way to get around the center and what are the options for getting to our hotel in Union Station.
Last things first. The hotel is 65 E Harrison St. .. about a mile from Union Station. You could walk, take a short taxi or bus ride CTA # 130, Jackson and Franklin. Move the center has the same options. The hotel is located in the extreme south of the Loop (downtown). You are close to Grant Park and Millennium Park for an easy walk. Taxis are plentiful, but a bit expensive if you're on a budget. Using public transportation is easy to do and CTA bus and "els rather" go to all parties. Use the following website to find routes and fares. I would advise opting goroo.com option. Enter the start and end addresses and time. Many attractions are listed in the drop down menus: The website below will help you find http://tripsweb.rtachicago.com/ attractions.
