All around Las Vegas

Hoover Dam is located 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas in the U.S. Highway 93 on the border of Nevada and Arizona. You may extend your trip to Las Vegas to take a boat excursion on Lake Mead. Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the U.S.. Located on the Colorado River about 30 kilometers southeast of Las Vegas, Lake, straddling the Nevada and Arizona.
Formed by water stored by the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers opportunities entertainment throughout the year. The lakes cater to boaters, swimmers and fishermen, while the desert is popular with hikers, nature photographers and tourists.
If you like the sound of an active holiday then you could set up from Las Vegas to nearby Red Rock Canyon, another conservation area which with 30 miles of trails and plenty of places for picnics and photo opportunities.
The conservation area is home to a set of major peaks and red sandstone walls called Keystone Thrust. The highest point, La Madre mountain ranges over 8,000 feet. The sandstone formations that rise to that the area is known as hiking and rock climbing enthusiasts.
Las Vegas also has one of the greatest natural wonders of the world around them, The Grand Canyon. A mile high, colorful rock walls, steep slopes and sandy tracks stretch as far as the eye and can be visited in one trip a day or plan to take a few days and visit the area.
You can book excursions to the Grand Canyon and stay in hotels near the National Park or a nearby city, like Williams, Flagstaff or Sedona. Helicopter tours, with a bird's-eye view of this natural wonder and you can take to the Colorado River and try your hand at rafting.
There are attractions like the Grand Canyon Skywalk Grand Canyon Railway and so any way you want to see the sights should be able to find a solution appropriate.
