moving to Las Vegas after college? A few questions?
Hello, I just finished my second year of college and have recently thought moving to Las Vegas for a couple years while I'm still young. I have always lived in the cold and I hate it and I'm ready for a bigger city. Should have a specialization in finance, specializing in hotel and restaurant management. I would like my work apply to my university work. Some of the Options are used, restuarant manager, (I have good expierence and you have to work your way up right?) Director of hotel of some sort, or maybe go to work or sale of real estate. Here are my questions: How difficult it is for me to find a job assuming I have my degree? (Salary range?) Best part of the city to live? (Safer, cleaner, age wise etc. .. Cost of living? I think every move with friends or roommates. Also, I'm leaving collgege with zero debt. What is life in general, there? Rent a house or a homeowner and I have my roommate / S I get paid? I appreciate any help honestly. Thanks
You have a good education for Vegas. Nowhere in the world has as hotels and restaurants. You will well here. I understand hate the cold … but it is better to be prepared for very hot summer. Take time to use. Live far from the strip as possible … keep away from east, northeast and north. The west, southwest and south are good safe areas. The golden rule .. anything outside of the 215 is good. The house might be a bit more than what is used but way cheaper than California. The food is cheap because of the strong competition from markets here. Electricity is a bit expensive and the telephone company is a scam. Good idea to rent and have roomates … just be sure to check them out carefully. Driving is something else here. The worst drivers in the world … they are all wonabees NASCAR. They think that speed limits and traffic signs are suggestions. It is a great place to live … I love it and so do millions of people … you will those who absolutely hate it, but not every city.
