Hotels in the Latin Quarter of Paris: Which of these 4?
I'm going to Paris in August for the first time and I would like a pleasant (3 stars) Hotel reasonably in American Barrio. Interested in becoming tonnes, close to great cafes and walking distance to Notre Dame and the Seine, and, possibly, the Louvre Museum. What would be the best located hotel? All have air conditioning. 1) Jardin de l'Odeon (7 rue Casimir Delavigne, Metro: Odeon) – 102.5 euros per night 2) Abbatial Saint Germain (46, boulevard Saint Germain, metro: Maubert Mutualité) – 99 Euros per night 3) Hotel du Pantheon (19, place du Pantheon, metro: RER Luxembourg) – April 95 Euros per night) Hotel Saint Germain des Pres (36 Rue Bonaparte, metro: Saint Germain des Pres) – 112.5 Euros per night, breakfast included greatly appreciate it! Also interested where have bars and bars and nightlife / cafes open late. I'm surprised by the response on the Hotel du Pantheon – not a place closer to the Seine is preferable? explain – thanks.
Hotel du Pantheon. The second option would abbey of St. Germain. I feel obliged to note that the star system is relatively insignificant. NO is an indicator of overall quality, but simply a question of a fully mechanistic checklist of infrastructure. There is no significant difference between the others location. They are within walking distance of each other and within a few minutes walk from the Seine. This area is full of cafes, bars and restaurants. Would impossible to avoid them. Nightspots in Paris are generally open until dawn. My favorite place is Aux Trois Galande Mailletz on 56th Street. This is a short walk from any of these hotels. Good food, good people, good music. A piano on the ground floor and a very hip nighclub 1950 in the basement. Another favorite place in this neighborhodd is Le Petit Journal, classic jazz club. His days Glory (the street) have disappeared, but its still a good place for singles. This is the place (along with The Mazet in the rue St. André des Arts) where you can find Jim Morrison drinking to death in his day.
