What should I expect the first time in Scottsdale, AZ?
The last time we went to downtown Phoenix was a little disappointed coz it was literally nothing is happening there and not commercial, unless a very small shopping center on the corner. At this time we will stay in Scottsdale, I have heard that is the Unlike Phoenix? I will be going from 10/11/08 to 10/13/08 only the long weekend. I did not want to spend much money at the hotel for what is going to stay at the Double Tree Paradise Valley Resort. Do you know anything about this hotel? I know it is the bigger the better, but either it is at least four stars, I hope you will not regret .. Can you tell me what I expect and what to do there? I have no car. Thank you all for your help! Love ~ But I thought you have cars for that area? Since there is only for 2 days, I could only stay in the old town and go to the fashion mall. So you think you still do without a car?
You are talking about the Scottsdale Trolley, that travels between downtown attractions and hotels in the Scottsdale area. I think the PV Doubletree is on the list but you might call the hotel just to check. Sometimes a hotel will offer a courtesy transport to take you to two miles of the town, and you can always get a taxi. center of the city of Scottsdale has great shops and restaurants that are new – the Waterfront, "" special area. The new W hotel has a stylish new restaurant which will have a reserve, but many others as well. The hotel concierge can help you find fun things to do – the Fashion Square Mall is huge, but probably not have any stores that you can not find in your own local mall. See if you can get to the Kierland and / or Biltmore areas where a large number of shops and are too far from your hotel. When you get here is really nice outside so consider hiking, horseback riding, golf and / or a jeep or hummer tour. Here is a great website with lots of ideas for you: http://www.scottsdalecvb.com
