Best and worst cities in the South? Why?
The South is KY, OK, TX, LA, CA, MS, AL, GA, FL, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Best: 1. Austin, 2. San Antonio, 3. Fort Worth. Both have much to do, much to offer in the arts and culture (especially Austin), rich in history, beauty, great parks, good food, friendly people. BIG CITIES worse!: 1. Orlando. Apart from Disney World and Universal Studios, is a dull, dumpy town, nothing special. It is also full of rude Yankee transplants. 2. Louisville, KY: Beautiful city, but talk about rude people, even in churches, and service personnel in hotels and restaurants. Spend two days there and you change your mind about Kentucky being "that friendly," as the slogan goes. On the whole, seem to think the world revolves around of them. 3. Clarksville, TN. No offense to people who live there, I guess it's just a military invaded people with little emotion. I have nothing personal "against it, however. In general, however, the South is great!
As a truck driver from the south, now currently living in Texas, I've been in all the cities listed. I think most people (including yankees) are nice enough to provide its attitude is decent. In some of the smaller towns in Southern ago years, I got a kick out of walking through the center of the city and see all the keys to the left in the ignition of cars parked.
