The best place to visit in Santorini or Greece? Athens Help for the holidays?
What is the best place to visit in Greece. My husband and I are planning a tryip to Greece this summer and wanta know where the best place you're thinking bt Santorini and Athens. Can anyone give me a comparison of the two places. I know that one is more deaf than I think. Also if you can give me some names of 5-7 stars in Athens and Santorini. I wanta stay at the best hotel there. Thank you.
Athens and Santorini are not comparable. Athens is a great city, important monuments and museums that you can not miss. They are the most important monuments one of the most advanced civilizations in history. Santorini is a small island created by a submerged volcano, is the place considered lost Atlantis, because the volcanic eruption destroyed a city which now can be accessed at Akrotiri. It is a wonderful landscape, has beautiful beaches and architecture of the Greek islands oicturesque. It a good choice to go to the islands especially in the summer, but you can not miss Athens, at least for a couple of days. I would say that fly to Athens, go to the Acropolis Plaka and a couple of museums for 2-3 days, then fly to Santorini, stay there for 3-4 days, and that s the best option. The best hotels in Athens are Hilton and Grande Bretagne (found online). They are quite expensive, however, a good option (hotel design) in a sophisticated area www.periscope.gr would be nice too. To check on the Internet Santorini. you'll find many prefer to stay in the villages of Oia and Firostefani, quieter, more enjoyable and spectacular views.
