Haunted hotels around the world for Halloween
Boo! 'Tis the season again, when all fear, silly and strange becomes in great (and we're not talking about the U.S. presidential election). Happy Halloween everyone! October 31 is fast approaching and the macabre gross and out and about, in search of candy and trying to scare you bejeezes. Seeing that it is time to relate the tales of the crypt, we're not to please the masses and give our list Cooling own haunted hotels around the world.
During an extensive investigation they were surprised to find that Europe and North America seems to have a tremendous amount of spirits that just do not want to leave their homes, (but we are thinking with the recent economic downturn, many can change opinion and finally below). Still, there are places to stay around the world in which ghosts and ghosts float at night …. Here's our top 13!
The Nottingham Road Hotel (South Africa)
What is the best way to keep good staff? Do not let them leave. This hotel in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa has a waitress who apparently decided the tips were too good. The girl of spirit has been known to move pots around the pub, taps open beer sounds service (which was supposedly no longer in working condition) and has even been attributed to deflating tires of certain guests. Skips were poor course.
Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (USA)
There are many haunted hotels United States was hard to choose just a few. We chose it because it's just as good. The target = "_blank"> Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California, is supposedly the home of ghosts or Marilyn Monroe and Montgomery Clift. Marilyn is said to haunt a full length mirror that once was in a room that is known to frequent. The Customers have reported catching views of the blonde bombshell in the mirror when they pass. Clift stayed in room 928, while filming From Here to Eternity and guests have reported being able to hear the rhythm and rehearsing their lines.
Buma Inn (China)
The Chinese take their spirits seriously, and this in the Buma Inn in Beijing seriously wants revenge. Apparently, a guest at the Inn was poisoned by the chef and died later. The chef was so upset about it, who then committed suicide. The murdered guest is said to be seen roaming the halls forever in search of the chef, looking to inflict his revenge.
Breakfast Creek Inn (Australia)
According to the Visitor's Guide Brisbane this target = "_blank"> Brisbane hotel is apparently known for almost the entire population of Australia. If that was not strange enough, apparently delighted too. It was built in 1889 by William Galloway, the former mayor of Brisbane. One night, apparently drunk, fell from a second floor window of his death in 1895. After have been many renovations since then, his ghost is said to have seen and heard wandering the older, original portions of the hotel.
Herrgård Toftaholm (Sweden)
Once home to a baron, this hotel in Toftaholm, Sweden, is haunted by a child. The boy, a commoner, fell in love Baron's daughter. Baron refused and prepared for his daughter in marriage to another person. On the day of the wedding, the boy hanged himself in the rafters. His spirit is said pursuing Room 324, where the beams before.
Genting Highlands Resort (Malaysia)
Located north of Kuala Lumpur, this popular resort and casino has apparently seen its fair share of suicides by those distraught after incurring gambling debts at the tables. Several visitors have related stories of seeing a man jump from the top of the hotel only to vanish before hitting the ground. It is also said there are rooms in the hotel that are not available to stay in no matter what the hotel occupancy rate due to the strong presence of spirits of another.
Ballygally Castle Hotel (Ireland)
It is a castle, so it should be pursued. The Ballygally Castle Hotel is haunted by Lady Isabella Shaw, who was imprisoned here in the 17th century by the horrible crime of giving birth to a daughter instead of a child. So distraught, apparently jumped to his death clutching her daughter. His ghost is said to be heard wandering through the halls, knocking on doors … while holding your baby mourn. Creeeeepy.
Slot Dragsholm – Hotel (Denmark)
Another Castillo (go figure), is located in Sealand, Denmark is home to three ghosts, the Gray Lady, White Lady and the Earl of Bothwell. The Gray Lady is apparently a young woman who was devoted to the castle back every night to check on the ground. The Count of Brothwell was captured here in the 1500s and imprisoned in the cellar, subsequently went mad and died, forever to wander the halls. The White Lady is a daughter of one of the former owners who fell in love with a commoner. His father learned of the illicit affair and imprisoned her in the castle. During the renovation in 1930, a skeleton in a white dress was found behind a wall loan credit history.
The Stanley Hotel (USA)
We as scary movies, and "Stanley Kubrick's The Shining" is as creepy as they come. Based on the novel by Stephen King, the King was based on Hotel Mirador in his book on The Stanley Hotel Estes Park, Colorado. The Stanley is said to be haunted by its original owner of Stanley and his wife Flora. Stanley's ghost has been seen wandering the lobby, bar and pool hall, while Flora continues to play the piano in the Music Room. Guests have heard reports that left the music room. When they open the door the keys are are moving on the piano too, but as soon as you go over to investigate, the music stops.
The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (Canada)
Set in picturesque Banff, Alberta href = "http://www.agoda.com/north_america/canada/banff_ab/fairmont_banff_springs_hotel.html" target = "_blank"> The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is said to be haunted by a ghost bride. Legend has it that a bride was walking down the grand staircase in the lobby of your wedding reception. The "train" of her gown apparently brushed against one of the numerous candles used to illuminate the lobby and caught fire. In her panic, apparently tripped and fell down the stairs, breaking his neck. Her ghost has been seen wandering the halls still in her dress. A little more proof that the best escape option.
The Savoy Hotel (India)
Famous for being the inspiration of Agatha Christie's first novel The Mysterious Case Affair at Styles, the Savoy Hotel in Mussoorie, India seems to be haunted by its former owner, Lady Orme. Killed by drinking some strychnine mysteriously placed in your jar medicine, Ms. Orme's murderer was never found. His ghost has been seen the reports, wandering aimlessly through the corridors of his old hotel.
The Langham Hilton Hotel (England)
It is a landmark hotel in the middle of London, the Langham is supposedly one of the most haunted hotels the world, with as many as 7 different ghosts seen from time to time. Some of the ghosts are dressed in Victorian clothing, one of the ghosts is said to be that of a German soldier another is said to be the ghost of the doctors who murdered his wife and then himself, and the Emperor Louis Napoleon III is said to haunt the basement. Room 333 is supposed which is the most popular of all, in which a BBC reporter watched a specter appear from a floating ball, brilliant, right in front of your eyes.
The Queen Mary (USA)
It's a ship, a hotel and delighted. How cool is that! The former luxury liner was bigger and faster than the Titanic in her day and was used to transport troops in World War II. Now permanently docked in Long Beach, California and becomes a floating hotel The Queen Mary is home to the reports, several different ghosts. The boat has been the scene of 49 deaths, so that could be a few ghosts to choose from. It is the sailor crushed behind the door 13 of the engine room, now seen roaming the halls only to disappear behind the door itself that killed him, there are 30 women in costumes style bathing seen sitting around the pool of first class (although the pool has been closed for decades) and is the girl who drowned in the second class poolroom, often seen (and heard) in the area while clutching a teddy bear. Apparently, there are more, but we are too scared to continue talking about it.
